Engagement Details

We require an experienced Infrastructure / Solution Architect to support the design and documentation of highly available, secure enterprise
infrastructure solutions. The engagement is needed to ensure that systems connecting to the existing VMware-based platform are designed in line with
infrastructure, security, and operational requirements. The architect will provide expertise in network segmentation, DMZ architecture, high
availability, and secure platform integration. A key responsibility will be the preparation of High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation to
support technical decisions and future implementation activities. The expert will work closely with customer stakeholders and operational teams,
providing independent technical guidance and ensuring architectural consistency. This specialized expertise is required to reduce technical risks,
ensure infrastructure resilience, and support secure and reliable system integration.
The architect will act as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with the customer and operational teams while
providing architecture guidance on complex platform and cloud-related topics.
The ideal person is an infrastructure architect who combines strong infrastructure architecture expertise, customer-facing advisory capabilities, and
hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, SAP environments, and highly available enterprise platforms, while being able to communicate complex architecture
topics confidently in German and work effectively with both customer stakeholders and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design
• Design and document highly available infrastructure architectures.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
• Create architecture concepts for:
o DMZ environments
o Network segmentation and security zones
o High Availability (HA) and resilience requirements
o Enterprise platform integration
Technical Advisory
• Serve as the primary technical architecture contact for the customer.
• Engage with customer stakeholders on an equal professional level and provide architectural guidance.
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical workshops.
Platform & Technology Consulting
The architect should have experience in several of the following areas:
• Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts
• Kubernetes / Container Platforms
• Network and Security Architecture
• DMZ architectures
• SAP landscapes and SAP operations
• Cloud and data center platforms
• Infrastructure modernization and transformation programs
Collaboration
• Work closely with the existing operations team.
• Support technical decision-making and architecture governance.
• Align architectural designs with operational and security requirements.
• Review implementation approaches and support technical planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
• Senior-level Infrastructure or Solution Architect experience
• Proven experience creating HLD and LLD documentation
• Strong background in High Availability architectures
• Experience with DMZ and enterprise security architectures
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent German language skills
• Ability to produce customer-facing documentation in German
• Experience acting as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers
Desired
• Kubernetes architecture experience
• SAP infrastructure and platform knowledge (current environment includes SAP running on FCI)
• Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of modern data center and cloud technologies
